I had to change the requirements of this post today for 2 reasons, the first being it's only February, and I haven't made a friend THIS year, but I have made a GREAT friend in THE PAST year! Number 2, I don't have a picture of her and I together....
This is the first friend I made when we moved in to our complex and our new ward.
Jennifer quickly became one of my best friends, and I love her to death! She was the Activity Committee Chairman, and we were on her committee. We both cried when they got rid of our calling and we were released! We had made a great team and planned some awesome activities! And I have NEVER had so much fun grocery shopping as I did with Jen! We have so much in common, and get along great!
This is Jen and her husband, Mike.
Jennifer was a cheerleader at West Jordan High, and the brat still fights in to her uniform and looks as hot as ever!! She came as a cheerleader to our Ward Trunk-or-Treat.
Jen does hair and so she usually has a strip of blue or purple in her long dark hair, or under her bangs! We all know I love funky colors in my hair, and myself have had pink, purple, red, etc. The first Sunday I saw Jen, I knew she was someone I could be friends with. A few months after we moved in to the ward we had a lesson in relief society about judging others and first impressions. One lady rose her hand to make a comment and said she had a confession. When she first saw one of the ladies in our ward with her colored hair, she knew there was no way she would ever have anything in common with this person, and doubted they would ever be friends, but as soon as she got to know Jen, and her awesome personality, Jennifer became one of her good friends. When we were leaving church that day, I gave Jen a hug and told her, "I knew instantly we would be great friends...BECAUSE of your colored hair!"
Jennifer has four adorable children, including a set of twins! KayCee adores her son, Hunter! Maybe we'll end up family one day ;)

what a cutie! activities committee seems like such a fun calling- bummer they took it away! :( btw-what are you doing now?
it's too bad there are people who judge based on hair color...really? makes me want to dye my hair just for that! HA! ;) just cuz i'm naughty like that.
