Spring Begins...

The first day of Spring has come and gone, and I'm in a total funk!  I've decided I don't do well with the changing of the seasons.  I absolutely love Spring!  It means Easter, and my birthday, and trips to the park, and my birthday (just kidding), but I feel like the year is flying by and the moments with my kids are slipping through my fingers.  I'm failing to make memories with them.  I feel like the biggest failure as a mom, my house isn't as clean or as organized as I'd like it to be, I watch far too much television, I don't make enough home-cooked meals, I'm too tired and ornery when I get home from work, etc.  At the beginning of each day, I try and tell myself that today will be better, but I find myself hitting the pillow with all of the day's inadequacies weighing on my mind.  I'm surrounded by so many amazing people, that I just don't feel like I measure up.

I plan on pushing the funkalicious feelings way down deep tonight, though, because I'm pretty excited to see these guys in concert!

 I'm super excited that I'm going to the concert with this girl!  I met Marisha my very first day of training at IHC.  We worked together in the claims department for a year, until I switched jobs.  We became very close.  I haven't seen her in years, and was excited to find her on facebook.  I can't wait to see her tonight!

 I haven't had a cold all Winter season, but Sunday I started feeling like I'd been run over by a bus!  I left work yesterday after only being here for an hour, but I'm counting on this to help me get through the night!

I drew a slip from my journal jar, "Write about your favorite comedian and why."  My favorite comedian is Jim Gaffigan.  He makes me laugh until I cry!  I love when he changes his voice and talks like he's someone in the audience!  This is one of my favorite bits of his!  Believe me, you will never look at Hot Pockets again...
